Privacy Policy

Contractor quote requests. When you submit a request for contractor quotes, we collect the name, email address, phone number (if you provide one), and message you enter. We share those details with basement waterproofing contractors in your area so they can respond to your request. By submitting the form and checking the consent box, you agree that WaterproofingCompare and those contractors may contact you about your request by phone, text, or email, including by automated means. Consent is not a condition of any purchase, and message and data rates may apply. The contractors we share your details with are independent businesses with their own privacy practices, which we do not control. You can ask us to delete your request or stop contact at any time by emailing hello@waterproofingcompare.com.

Quote Autopsy and method checks. These are different. When you request a Quote Autopsy or a free method check, we collect your name, email address, and what you tell us or send us about your quotes, and we use them only to answer you. They are never shared with contractors, sold, or used to match you with anyone. You can ask us to delete them at any time by emailing hello@waterproofingcompare.com.

Paying for a Quote Autopsy. If you go ahead with a Quote Autopsy, you pay through Stripe, our payment processor, on a payment page Stripe runs under its own privacy terms. Your payment details go to Stripe, not to us: we never receive or store your full card number. Stripe tells us the payment was made and the email address you gave it, so we can match it to your request.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are read and where visitors arrive from. It is operated by Google under its own privacy terms and it sets a cookie in your browser. We also send anonymous conversion events to this site (for example, that a form was submitted and which state it came from), which use no cookie and carry nothing that identifies you; the referring page and any campaign tags from your visit are held in your browser for that visit only. Our host, Cloudflare, separately counts page views and referring sites for this domain using Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookie and does not fingerprint you. We do not sell your personal information.

Contractor listings. Contractor listings are compiled from public business data. If you are a contractor and wish to update or remove your listing, contact us at hello@waterproofingcompare.com.
