DocAir
About
DocAir is an indoor air quality and building science company based on East Trinity Lane in Nashville, Tennessee, working across the Greater Nashville area. The company was founded in 2002 by Barry Westbrook, who DocAir describes as a Professional Engineer and Senior Certified Industrial Hygienist, and it operates under a “Science before Sales” motto: its stated approach is to identify the cause of a moisture or air quality problem before proposing a fix. Crawl space work is one of several connected service lines. DocAir handles crawl space encapsulation, moisture proofing, mold remediation, radon mitigation, and storm water management, and treats these as parts of one system rather than separate jobs: a wet crawl space, elevated humidity in the rooms above it, and mold growth on floor joists are often the same underlying problem measured at different points in the building. Diagnostic work includes air quality testing, moisture readings taken on subfloor framing, and dehumidification sizing for existing homes. For new construction the company offers air barrier testing and HVAC design. DocAir states that it provides free evaluations, written proposals, and a warranty on its services. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, closed weekends. Homeowners in Nashville and surrounding Middle Tennessee communities can request a quote directly through this page.
